Do you have a claim to fame?

I am the ultrarunning philosopher (aka AJW). Shameless in my love of running I am unapologetic in this regard. And, I finished 2nd at WS in 2005

Do you have any vices?

I do enjoy beer, even on the night before races.

What makes you tick as a runner and in the real world?

I have a full-time job as an educator, am a father of three, and really, really enjoy hours on the trail in spite of and as a result of the above.

What drives you to run?

Simply being out there doing what I love.

32 hours. Hardrock 100, of course.

What really scares you about trail running?

I can't lie, nothing. But, with a gun to my head, I'd say, falling off a cliff and dying.
