I want to climb El Capitan with my four childern and climb 5.14c

Not really, although dragging the kids to the crag is always a spectacle.

What makes you tick as a climber and in the real world?

My family is the driving force for my real world life like having a job and providing for them, and climbing is my escape. And when I can be with my family and climb at the same time, then I'm in paradise.

What drives you to climb? The money? The groupies? The fame? What?

For Me... It's not about overcoming the climb itself, but rather overcoming something inside that doubts whats possible.

JC. Just something my dad wanted to call me and I have gone by both my names my whole life.

What’s the longest you’ve gone without sleep? Why?

Not sure but when my kids were born it seemed like I didn't sleep for a year.

Washington, Birthplace and gotta love the apples.

What did you have for lunch yesterday?

Salmon sandwich.

Pictures like in an old soundless video camera.

What really scares you about climbing?

Hitting the ground really hard.

France. I love the language.
