Do you clip bolts, plug cams, stack pads, or crush ice?

Stack pads and clip bolts. I also make a mean Peanut butter, banana and honey sammy.

How long have you been an athlete with La Sportiva?

Since January 2012. Hopefully the world doesn’t end in December so it can last a little longer!

What are some of your lifetime climbing goals?

I would like to be able to climb for the rest of my life and always feel like I am improving in some way. As long as I am growing personally as a climber then I will be achieving my goals. I also want to inspire new generations of climbers to push harder and climb to their potential.

Do you have a claim to fame?

My extensive collection of tank tops.

Pizza and reality TV

What makes you tick as a climber and in the real world?

Personal growth and improvement through my own abilities and conditions. As soon as you stop improving and reaching for higher goals you stop living.

What drives you to climb? The money? The groupies? The fame? What?

I am in climbing for the fashion.

What is your favorite movie?

Kung Fu Panda

There are many. Among the more embarrassing ones, Pee Pee, Stony (ironic to be sure) and P-Funk.

What’s the longest you’ve gone without sleep? Why?

About 70 hours. I was fighting space invaders.

If you had to be named after one of the 50 states, which would it be?

Rhode Island.

What did you have for lunch yesterday?

Peanut Butter and Jelly and cereal.

What really scares you about climbing?

Having a career ending injury. I have had many finger injuries and I am terrified that one day they are going to stop me from being able to climb.

If your life was made into a movie, what would it be called?

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Waffle House.

Where would you live if it could be anywhere in the world?

A private plane.

Have no food or have no gasoline?

No gas. I get a little grumpy when Im hungry. Besides, I could always use some more exercise.

Do you wish you had sexier feet?

I wish I had less sexy feet. Its an issue.
