Moses Potter
ABOUT ME:
Moses Potter first scrambled cliffs on the Central Coast of California at 12 years old and couldn’t imagine a more fulfilling life. As a lifelong California climber, he has spent many years bouldering in the Sierras, but has also traveled broadly to climb in places like Catalunya, Rocklands, and Hueco Tanks. Moses credits most of his success to his Sportivas - Solution, Skwama, and Otaki can all be found mix-and-matched in his climbing pack at any given time! When not on the road, he can be found at Sender One in Southern California, where he is Director of Route Setting.
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
• Climbing Right Martini v12, Hueco Tanks, TX. Historical American boulder problem, and training milestone, showed me what I can aspire to with significant dedication and persistence.
• Surviving many sleepless nights and stressful days in graduate school, while earning a Master of Arts, Education. Surprisingly, it’s helped my professional life immensely as a Director of Route Setting.
• 4 5.14s in one year, 2019/2020 marked a respite from rotator cuff issues and a major progression in sport climbing.
• Route setting at Open Sport National, Youth Bouldering National, and Collegiate National in the same season, 2017, was a great honor and learning experience.
• Opening Sender One climbing gym in July 2013 has put countless smiles on many faces, and the high-quality route setting has frustrated, confounded, and enhanced many people's lives. Quite a few climbing and life partnerships have started there as well :)

What was the first La Sportiva product you tried?
Solution - actually, took me a while to be persuaded. But a breakthrough moment on a hard boulder, and the sending spree that followed, convinced me otherwise!
