ABOUT: 

Hello! I’m Tammy. I was born and raised in Southern California. Growing up I spent all of my free time snowboarding, often staying at the local resorts for more than eight hours a day. It was through winter sports that my love for the mountains started to developed. Soon after I made the move to the Eastern Sierra, to a small town called Mammoth Lakes to pursue my love of winter. Shortly after moving we experienced one of the worst droughts on record- this is when I found climbing. My first time climbing I went outside to Payahüünadü, land of the flowing water (Bishop). I was enamored! The beautiful landscape and new appreciation for my home left me feeling extremely motivated to jump into this new sport and to explore the endless mountain ranges I call home. Flash forward a decade, I’m still living in the Sierra and I still spend the majority of my free time climbing in Payahüünadü, exploring the peaks and valleys of the Sierra, and playing in the snow when I can. I like to split my time between ultra running in the mountains, snowboarding, peak bagging and climbing. La Sportiva has and always will be my shoe of choice for all my mountain and climbing activities!

Oct 2021 | Gold Dust- 12d/13a sport climb at Tioga Cliff. My first of the grade post knee surgery
Jul 2021 | Tuolumne Triple Crown (self supported car to car, solo)
Jun 2020 | North lake to South Lake backcountry ultra marathon (self supported, womens FKT)
Sep 2019 | Graniteman Challenge- 6 months post knee surgery. 2.5 mile open water swim, 102 mile bike ride, 13 mile run.

Who is your favorite climbing/running/skiing partner and why?

My favorite partner is anyone that is motivated to get out, brings good snacks, and laughs a lot.
