I grew up in Bronx, NY completely unaware that rock climbing was a recreational sport. I love to climb because it allows me to push myself mentally and physically, teaches me to be patient, offers me a community to enjoy the outdoors, and makes me incredibly happy. I can’t imagine life without it and I’m excited to share this experience with everyone!
Mar 2018 | Getting told by Kai Lightner at a boulder competition that I climbed well, taking a photo together, and then being offered my first sponsorship directly after by the photographer- who is co-founder of Beta Labs. Simply. Magical.
Summer 2018 | After coaching youth team practice, one of the kid’s Foster Mom told me I inspired her daughter so much that she wanted to start wearing her hair natural like me. That’s when I realized that I wasn’t just championing short female climbers in this sport. I’m also inspiring other Black females, especially young girls, and I started to fully accept and act on that important role.
Aug 2018 | Completing my first v9 (indoors)

Mar 2020 | Getting into The Gotham Citizen boulder competition finals at The Cliffs-LIC,
Who is your favorite climbing partner?
My favorite climbing partner is Jenna Tseng, a fellow youth team coach and friend. I love climbing with her because we have a similar build and completely different climbing styles. We always motivate each other and learn something new about body movement from watching the other climb. Also, She’s awe-some!
