Discipline: Climbing Team

ABOUT ME:

I was born in Brazil and I've been living in the USA for 16 years, climbing has been a consistent passion that has shaped my life from National Camps in Brazil in my early 20s, to sport climbing projects, cracks, WIDE cracks and to fall in love with long adventure routes. I discovered how sacred and healing the mountains act in our life by traveling and climbing throughout the world — from Europe, Asia, North, and South America. Most of all now climbing is a therapy in motion for me. In 2019 I lost my partner, Ken Anderson, in a climbing accident in Squamish. Climbing has helped me re-integrate into life, my community, transcend the trauma, and my loss.

The places I’ve seen and the people I’ve encountered serve as my daily drive to keep pushing myself. Sportiva climbing shoes have always been my most favorite shoes in any of my climbing styles. It is an honor to be part of the La Sportiva PassionTeam.

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Feb 2017 | Climbed El Mostro in Cochamo - Patagonia Chilena in 17 hours with Ken Anderson.
Nov 2018 | Support and sent part of Freerider on El Cap with my partner Ken Anderson, who sent it in 6 days ground up.
Fall 2020 | Offwidth instructor in Indian Creek and establishing First Ascents with Pam Shanti Pack in Utah.

Q+A:

Who is your favorite climbing/running/skiing partner and why?

Partners have been an important part of my achievements in rock climbing. Depending on the style I’m climbing I have different favorite partners. While it’s hard to pick one, Pam Shanti Pack is more than a partner to me, she is my Mentor.

What is your go-to hype song?

Black Day by Monolink

What was the first La Sportiva product you tried?

My first product of La Sportiva was purple Mythos climbing shoes. I learned how to climb on a granite slab and they were the perfect shoes for that!
