Meghan Morgan

ABOUT ME:

Meghan grew up in Needham, MA where she was exposed to the White Mountains in NH and the Adirondacks in NY at an early age. At age 10, she started joining her mom on her daily 3-mile runs and hasn't stopped running since. Meghan's favorite part of trail running is its supportive and high-energy community (and mid-long run snacks of course). While the gnarly New England terrain still holds a dear place in her heart, Meghan loves exploring the mountains of her current home of Colorado through running, climbing, and skiing. When she isn't spending time outdoors, Meghan works at a non-profit helping companies make the energy transition.

PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Apr 2015 | Ran her first marathon at the Boston Marathon while raising funds for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)
Sept 2021 | Placed 1st Female and 3rd Overall at the Bear Chase 50 miler with the 3rd fastest female time in history
Dec 2021 | Ran the California International Marathon in 2:48:26
Jan 2022 | Placed 4th Female at the Bandera 100k
Mar 2022 | Placed 1st Female and 3rd Overall at the Behind The Rocks 50K with the 2nd fastest female time in history

Q+A:

Who is your favorite running partner?

I love running with the Rocky Mountain Runners! They are a fun-loving group of endurance-junkies who not only make any run a blast but are also so supportive of one-another. They've become my Colorado family.

What is your go-to hype song?

"He's A Pirate" by Klaus Badelt (yes, that's the Pirates of the Caribean theme song) - I listen to it before every big adventure
