ABOUT:

Growing up in the UK, I learned to ski at the age of 4 in Banff and then was lucky to spend countless vacations in the French Alps where my love for the mountains grew. I returned to Banff for a season before going to college and since getting my PhD in Materials Science I've chased academic jobs that get me as close to snow and peaks as possible! I fully transitioned to endurance sports when I moved to Boulder, CO back in 2022 and now juggle training, racing and adventuring with my job as a senior research scientist at CU Boulder.

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Oct 2024 Making the British Skimo Team
Apr 2024 Taking the W at the Colorado Skimo Cup
Feb 2024 | Getting the FKT down Green Mountain in Boulder (a silly FKT that means a lot to a special group called the Rocky Mountain Runners!)
Nov 2023 | Establishing a women's program with the Boulder Skimo Club to get more women onto lightweight touring gear and prepping them with good technical skills for the backcountry.
Dec 2018 | Getting my PhD!

Q&A:

Who is your favorite running partner and why?

I love training with the trail team girls, especially Karley Rempel and Rachel Mow. They're the perfect team mates as we all play off each others strengths to all get better. For bigger mountain adventures I love to run and ski with my partner Davide, although somehow I'm always the one carrying all the snacks.

What is your go-to hype song?

"Push Up" by Creeds

What was the first La Sportiva product you tried?

Kaptiva's! I love a responsive shoe that really lets me feel the trail as I move over it.

Which charity/advocacy organizations do you support or belong to?

Boulder Skimo Club - I lead the women's programming encouraging more women and girls to get into skimo and light weight ski touring. I also coach the youth program, something I wish I'd had as a kid. I'm also a member of The Trail Team, a brilliant organization who support up and coming trail runners from all sorts of backgrounds.
