ABOUT:
Growing up in Norwich, VT I have always been adventuring in the mountains on skis and on foot. Now living in Leadville, CO those interests have transferred to ski mountaineering and trail running. I am motivated by the beauty and solitude that the mountains and canyons of the American West can offer. Keep exploring; it's human!
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Nov 2022 | 22nd in 40km at World Mountain and Trail Running Championships, Thailand
Oct 2023 | 27th at Golden Trail World Series Final, Noli, Italy
Sep 2023 | 10th place at Pikes Peak Ascent
Sep 2022 | 2nd at Pikes Peak Marathon
Q&A:
Who is your favorite running partner and why?
I have a deep respect for my fellow ski patrollers at Copper Mountain. They are mountain athletes who spend so much time assessing the same terrain and in doing so develop an appreciation for winter alpine environments. Working with them reminds me that it isn't just about who can get up a mountain the fastest.
What is your go-to hype song?
"Dripfield" by Goose
What was the first La Sportiva product you tried?
I used the Cyklon trail shoe to set a roundtrip record on the highest mountain in CO, Mount Elbert (1h39m). Their traction certainly played an important role during that effort.
Which charity/advocacy organizations do you support or belong to?
My mom founded an after-school running program in the east-central Vermont area called Finding Our Stride (@findingourstride). I contribute and spend time with some teams when visiting Vermont. I also contribute to Friends of CAIC (Colorado Avalanche Information Center) and provide observations when pertinent (@coavalancheinfo).
