ABOUT ME:
I grew up on the East coast in Carolina and shipped out to join the Navy after graduating college in 2014. I served as a Navy SEAL for 2 deployments before discovering climbing and the outdoors in general around the start of 2020. Climbing immediately filled a need I wasn’t able to articulate in my life and I felt a peace and passion on rock I haven’t been able to replicate anywhere else. My first pair of shoes ever was a pair of Tarantulaces 5 years ago and I’m stoked to now be a part of the same team today!

Q+A:
Who is your favorite climbing/running/skiing partner and why?
Michael Vaill! Mike and I have been climbing together for a few years and hopefully for quite a few more. We’ve been able to grow together and individually as partners and individual climbers during our partnership which is such a cool opportunity. Mike’s got that crazy extra gear that lets us push it in a way that I haven’t been able to do with anyone else so far, lots of big days down and plenty more to come!
What is your go-to hype song?
"Ramble On" by Led Zeppelin
What was the first La Sportiva product you tried?
The Tarantulace! First pair of shoes I ever bought. I've since grown into a more technical shoe but they were perfect for me at the time.
Which charity/advocacy organizations do you support or belong to?
I am the Vice President on the Board of Directors for an amazing nonprofit organization called Crux Wilderness Therapy. At Crux we provide long term sustainable mental health resources to all active duty service members and veterans oriented around climbing free of charge. Come check us out!
